Student Educational Enrichment and Development Foundation

Our Mission: To provide excellent educational experiences to the students attending the Bayport – Blue Point Union Free School District

SEED LAUNCH is a SUCCESS

October 11th, 2012 was a big night for Bayport and Blue Point. The SEED, short for Student Educational Enrichment and Development Foundation Inc., launched their new foundation with an introductory meet and greet party.  This was a chance for SEED to build some excitement, share ideas and gain additional support to enrich the students of Bayport and Blue Point.

SEED’s Chairman, Bob Draffin exclaimed, “We had a sell out crowd and everyone had a great time.  Being here for the kids is what SEED is all about.” The foundation reached their goal of selling 100 tickets and went beyond that to collect several private donations.  The donations continue to come in.  We were also very pleased that the turnout reflected a broad range of ages and groups from the community, as well as a very encouraging turnout from our school staff.

Our community’s good will and energy has inspired us all to do everything we can to ensure the students of Bayport and Blue Point are exposed to enriching educational experiences.

SEED is very grateful for the community’s support in helping us get off the ground.  We also offer a special thank you to Travis McKeveny for generously donating musical entertainment;  Pam Varacek for donating an original work of art; Studio 24 for the salon services gift card, Kimberly Kluge for donating a private Yoga lesson; to the Grey Horse Tavern for their hospitality.  A fun time was had by all and all for a great cause.
